AIRCRAFT – GIMBAL JOINT AILERON CONTROL (ATA 27) – INSPECTION

Applicability: The present Airworthiness Directive is applicable to all SOCATA TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and TB21 aeroplanes, serial numbers 1 through 9999.

Effective date: August 08, 2002.

Compliance : Required as indicated in DGAC AD 2002-225(A).

Remarks:. The compliance of this AD must be recorded in Aircraft Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation. SOCATA

TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and TB21 aeroplanes

Gimbal joint aileron control inspection (ATA 27)

 

1. APPLICABILITY

The present Airworthiness Directive is applicable to all SOCATA TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and TB21

aeroplanes, serial numbers 1 through 9999.

 

2. REASON

A disconnecting of the aileron control gimbal joint due to the failure of a shear pin which may lead to the loss of aircraft roll control.

 

3. MANDATORY ACTIONS AND COMPLIANCE TIME

The following measures are made mandatory from the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive :

At the first scheduled maintenance visit, after 300 flight hours or 12 months which occurs first after the delivery of the aircraft or the replacement of the aileron control gimbal joint, and at each following 100 flight hours scheduled visit or annual visit, inspect the aileron control gimbal joint according to the instructions of SOCATA Service Bulletin in reference.

 

Record the application of this Airworthiness Directive in the aircraft log book
