ENGINE – PROPELLER SPEED GOVERNOR – TBO

Applicability: The LUN 7816.01-8 propeller speed governors, all serial numbers, installed on the WALTER M601T engines.

Reason: Increased strain of the pin and bearing of the oil pump gear in the LUN 7816.01-8 propeller speed governor installed on the WALTER M601T engine.

Effective date: March 21, 2002.

Compliance : In order to ensure the operation reliability of the WALTER M601T engine the manufacturer of the LUN 7816.01-8 propeller speed governor decided to decrease the propeller speed governor TBO to 300 hours till the cause of the trouble will be technically solved.
Required as indicated in Mandatory Bulletin No.: A M601T/10a dated January 10, 2002, which becomes herewith part of this AD and may be obtained from: WALTER a.s., Jinonická 325, 150 07 Prague 5-Jinonice, Czech Republic.

Remarks:. The compliance of this AD must be recorded in Aircraft Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation.
