AIRCRAFT - LIMITATION OF OPERATION

Applicability: Applicable to Moravan-Aeroplanes Inc. made aircraft mentioned bellow:

Z-142C S/N up to 0560 incl.

Z-242L S/N up to 0656 incl. in case when the Mandatory Service Bulletin Z 242L/27a-Rev. 1 was not performed.

Reason: It was detected that the airplanes used in the aerobatic category in accordance with the Airplane Flight Manual limitations may be operated over the CAA-FAA spectrum of loads limits on which the technical service life of the airframe was based.

New limitation of operation in Aerobatic and Utility category was determined on the base of flight tests:

The operation is limited to 190 flight hours flying in either "AEROBATIC or UTILITY" category with the total service flight time remaining on 3500 flight hours.

Effective date: Upon receipt.

Compliance : Action must be done prior to further flight in accordance with Mandatory Service Bulletin No. Z 142C/17a,

Remarks:. The compliance of this AD must be recorded in Aircraft Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation.
