ENGINE - EXHAUST STACKS - INSPECTION
Applicability:
Rotax 914 F
Series engines.
Effective date: June 1, 2001.
Compliance : Required as indicated in AC AD 106-2001.
Remarks:. The compliance of this AD must
be recorded in Engine Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD
must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation. Address inquiries

Inspection
for possible cracks on exhaust stacks (exhaust tubes between cylinder-head and
exhaust) on Rotax 914 F Series engines

Applicability:
Rotax 914 F Series engines

Subject:
Inspection for possible cracks on exhaust stacks (exhaust tubes between
cylinder-head and exhaust)
3.
Reason: On
aircraft with Rotax 914 F engines cracks on the exhaust stacks (exhaust tubes
between cylinder-head and exhaust) were detected.
4.
Action: A
detailed visual inspection on the exhaust stacks (exhaust tubes between
cylinder-head and exhaust) have to be carried out within the compliance time.
The
technical informations of Bombardier Rotax Service Bulletin SB-914-017 are
herewith
part of this AD.
5.
Compliance:
a)
initial inspection within 50 flight hours, but not Later than 01 June 2001,
according referenced Bombardier Rotax SB-914-017
b)
every 50 flight hours inspection of the exhaust stacks (exhaust tubes between
cylinder-head and exhaust) according referenced Bombardier Rotax SB-914-017
6.
Accomplishment: The
required action has to be accomplished by the manufacturer or by a
Licensed/qualified person. An entry into the aircraft Log has to be done.

Effective Date: 25.
