AIRCRAFT - THRUST REVERSER - INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT

Applicability: AIRBUS INDUSTRIE A310 and A300-600 aircraft, all certified models and all serial numbers.

Effective date: July 12, 2001

Compliance: Required as indicated in DGAC AD 2001-186(B).

Remarks: The compliance of this AD must be recorded in Aircraft Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation. Thrust reverser - "ENG REV UNLK" procedure (ATA 78)

APPLICABILITY:

AIRBUS INDUSTRIE A310 and A300-600 aircraft, all certified models and all serial numbers.

REASONS:

The "ENG REV UNLK" procedure in the "Aircraft Flight Manual" (AFM), which defines actions to be taken in case of uncommanded in-flight deployment of the thrust reverser, has been revised for aircraft which do not have the appropriate procedure displayed on the Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitoring (ECAM).

ACTIONS:

From the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive, unless already accomplished, check that the Aircraft Flight Manual includes the "Eng Rev Unlk" procedure incorporated from the AFM revisions below approved by the DGAC on September 22, 2000.
