AIRCRAFT - SEATS - INSPECTION

Applicability: The present Airworthiness Directive is applicable to all SOCATA TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and TB21 aircraft, which have not already received SOCATA modification No.165 in production

Effective date: March 22, 2001.

Compliance : Required as indicated in DGAC AD 2001-005(A).

Remarks:. The compliance of this AD must be recorded in Aircraft Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation. SOCATA

TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and TB21 aircraft

Seat unlocking (ATA 25)

 

1. APPLICABILITY:

The present Airworthiness Directive is applicable to all SOCATA TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and TB21 aircraft, which have not already received SOCATA modification No.165 in production.

 

2. REASON:

Some cases of untimely unlocking of front seats with stamping pans have been reported. The cause is an interference of the seat pan with the locking mechanism.

 

3. ACTIONS AND COMPLIANCE:

The following measures are made mandatory from the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive:

At the latest during the next scheduled inspection, check the seat reference (Ref. TB10 74106XXX, TB10 74203XXX or TB10 74936XXX), and, if necessary, apply SOCATA modification No. 165 (cut-out in the seat pan and mechanical attachment of the rubber block), according to the instructions of SOCATA TB Service Bulletin No. BS 10-115-25.

 

Record the application of this Airworthiness Directive in the aircraft log book.
