AIRCRAFT - RUDDER - INSPECTION
Applicability: : The present Airworthiness Directive is applicable to TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and TB21 aircraft of more than 4 years or of more than 2000 flight hours at the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive
Effective date: January 24, 2001.
Compliance : Required as indicated in DGAC AD 2001-002(A).
Remarks:. The compliance of this AD must
be recorded in Aircraft Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD
must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation. Address inquiries

1. APPLICABILITY:
The
present Airworthiness Directive is applicable to TB9, TB10, TB200, TB20 and
TB21 aircraft of more than 4 years or of more than 2000 flight hours at the
effective date of this Airworthiness Directive.
2. REASONS:
A
case of separation between the rudder and its control linkage due to the
rupture of the lower hinge fitting has been reported.
This
Airworthiness Directive requires an inspection of the Beet. It does not
constitute a terminating action.
3. ACTIONS AND COMPLIANCE:
The
following measures are made mandatory from the effective date of this
Airworthiness Directive:
A
- During the next scheduled inspection and at the latest on March 31, 2001,
visually inspect for cracks the lower hinge rudder fitting, according to the
instructions of SOCATA TB Service Bulletin No. BS 10-114-55.
If
a crack is detected, flights are prohibited until application of SOCATA repair
No. 20-018.
B
- Whatever the result of the inspection is, inform SOCATA (see address in the
Service Bulletin). Record the application of this Airworthiness Directive in
the aircraft log book.
