Applicability:
AS 355 E, F, F1, F2 and N helicopters equipped with electrical power systems part numbers :Effective date: Upon receipt.
Compliance : Required as indicated in DGAC AD 2000-339-060(A).
Remarks:. The compliance of this AD must be recorded in Aircraft Logbook, where applicable the requirements of this AD must be integrated into Aircraft Technical Documentation. SUBJECT : Electrical power system (ATA 24)
1. APPLICABILITY:
AS 355 E, F, F1, F2 and N helicopters equipped with electrical power systems part numbers : left side : 492GC01Y132 / 493GC01Y132
right side : 482GC01Y01, 482GC01Y132, 483GC01Y122.
2. REASON :
This Telegraphic airworthiness directive is prompted following some cases of electrical power failure, except direct battery on AS 355 helicopters, during flights with high OAT and with long use of landing light (failure due to the disengagement of 40 A contactors in the electrical power systems below their nominal threshold).
3. MANDATORY ACTIONS AND COMPLIANCE TIME :
The following measures are rendered mandatory at the effective date of this telegraphic airworthiness directive :
3.1 Do not use the landing light out of landing and take-off.
3.2 In case of electrical power failure, except direct battery, in flight, apply the procedure described in paragraph C.C.2 of the referenced EUROCOPTER AS 355 telex service 25.00.63.
